The School of Peripatetic Philosophy

Aristotle had such a school. He felt he did his best thinking wandering around, and letting his muses visit him with his deepest thoughts. He taught his students to do the same. Thus came into being The School of Peripatetic Philosophy.

Some of the most confounding questions of the day were resolved with this simple device. At first blush, you might think it was haphazard and not systematic, but it turned out to be precisely that, as Aristotle believed the mind was programmed to work in consort with nature, and not against it.

For the past forty years, Dr. James R. Fisher, Jr., has been practicing Aristotle's approach to intuitive wisdom, and now he is prepared to share it with you.

The design is simple. Monthly essays will be provided to students to stimulate their wandering. Periodically, practical essays will be provided based on several theoretical models that Dr. Fisher has developed in his diversified career. Among them are:

(1) The Fisher Model of Conflict Resolution
(2) The Fisher Paradigm including Personality, Geographic and
Demographic Profiles.
(3) The Six Silent Killers of Organizational Life.
(4) The Three Dominant Cultures of the Workplace.
(5) The Fisher Psychological Guide to Stress Management.
(6) The Fisher Guide to Psychological Time Management.
(7) The Peripatetic Philosophy - step by step.
(8) Premier Fisher Essays (including Cold Shower, A Way of
Looking at
Things) and many more.

Excerpts of "works-in-progress," such as Who Put You In The Cage, and Near Journey's End: Can the Planet Earth Survive Self-indulgent Man, both completed in manuscript form, but not yet published. Dr. Fisher is now working on his second novel, Green Island in a Black Sea: A Novel of South Africa in the Time of Apartheid.
